- Thousands of users have been logged out of Facebook.
- These users can’t log in any more, they are getting an error.
- There are fears that Facebook, or part of its user base, has been hacked again.
Something is amiss with Facebook right now. Apparently thousands of users have been logged out of the site and can’t log in anymore. The problem at first glance seems to be similar to what some users faced in late September when it was revealed that some Facebook data was stolen by hackers and as a precaution Facebook forcefully logged out affected users. But those users were able to log in immediately. Today, users who have been forced out have so far not been able to log out.
Although the problem doesn’t seem to widespread it’s big enough and many users have taken to Twitter to talk about their frustrating experience with Facebook login. Here is what some of the users have said.

It appears LOTS of people are getting a log in error message today. I did while on messenger on my phone. I clicked the link, opted to not continue, shut off my phone and restarted it. Ran normally after that. @facebook #facebook An official comment would be well received!

For now, Facebook hasn’t comment on the issue, neither through its usual communications channels for media nor through its website or through its Twitter account. It is possible the glitch is just temporary and will be fixed soon.
